This paper investigates some aspects of the problem of allocating and scheduling medical personnel during the evacuation of casualties from a field hospital in a crisis zone. The restrictions imposed by casualty flow and staff availability are formulated as linear constraints. Various objectives are considered, and suggestions for dealing with uncertainties relating to casualty flow are given.
